Almaeira Serenelie is a “saint” who was executed by the king because she was falsely accused of being an agent of the Demon Lord. She had a childhood friend,
the wizard Yoal Yaotl, who was killed by the mob along with the saint. Twenty years later, he crawls out from the depths of the underworld and reappears in the remote Witch's Forest.
Yoal's goal is to reunite with Almaeira, the former saint resurrected by the Demon Lord and forced into his service as the "Witch Queen."
Yoal will do anything and pay any cost, in his quest to save the fallen saint from the Demon Lord.
